Initial discussions are informal and exploratory. There is no expectation that a conversation will lead anywhere in particular. Sometimes it simply helps to talk things through and understand what is really being faced before deciding what to do next.

The aim of early contact is simply to create space to think clearly — before momentum, pressure, or partial advice sets a direction by default.
The first conversation is informal and free of charge, and normally takes place by telephone or video call.
This allows the situation to be understood properly before deciding whether a face‑to‑face meeting would be helpful.
Where a meeting in person makes sense, this can then be arranged on a clear and appropriate basis.
